Once one of the world’s greatest ports; the Docklands area has been transformed into a thriving commercial, residential and cultural district. Visitors can enjoy shopping, waterside dining and culture in the Museum in Docklands before stopping for a drink in a selection of bars and restaurants around West India Quay. The ExCel exhibition centre, located right on the waterfront, holds a vast range of events and exhibitions.

we usually stay at this hotel but this time noticed a marked deterioration in the service particularly in the bar this hotel is always comfortable and welcoming although the views from the rooms can be very poor the hotel was noticeably emptier than on previous occasions

Custom House - Excellent Location for the EXCEL

I stopped in the Custom House whilst down in London for the World Travel Market. This hotel was chosen because it is one of the closest hotels to the EXCEL , only a few minutes walk and this meant that I avoided the manic tube in the morning. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. It would appear that the hotel has just been refurbished as the carpet was new and bouncy and the furniture in the room was modern and fresh. I stopped in a twin room with my colleague , and the separate shower and toilet were convenient. I would strongly recommend this hotel to anyone who is going to the EXCEL , it is a very comfortable 2 Star and offers excellent value for money.

Queen at The O2

We stayed at The Novotel at ExCeL with a group of friends. Twenty of us went to see Queen and Paul Rogers at The O2. We ranged in age from 7 to 60 and every one of us loved it. The hotel was perfect. Rooms were all ready for us. We did not have much time before heading off to the concert. The O2 is only a short ride away on the tube. Queen and Paul Rogers were even better than we had expected. What a great gig. Over two hours on stage, and they played hit after hit. It is true to say that we all looked a little worse for wear over breakfast the next morning, but what memories we took home.

Day Out in London

We came to London to see some atractions and had a good day. The hotel was along way from the city of London and trying to make head nor tail of bus,Trains etc was a bit difficult with not knowing where we were going but the hotel was fine.
